3 Days Tsavo East & Amboseli Safari

Early morning pickup from your hotel or agreed meeting point on the Kenya coast. Drive inland toward Tsavo East National Park, entering through the most convenient gate for your departure point. Your first game drive begins immediately after park entry, introducing you to the park's broad red-earth plains, seasonal rivers and classic semi-arid bushland.

Search for elephants coated in Tsavo's famous red dust, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelope, lion and prolific birdlife. Depending on wildlife movements and route conditions, the game drive may include productive areas around Aruba Dam. Continue to your selected lodge or tented camp for lunch and check-in, followed by time to rest before the afternoon game drive.

Later, return to the park for an extended afternoon wildlife drive as temperatures cool and animal activity increases. Enjoy sunset in the wilderness before returning to camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the lodge or camp, followed by departure from Tsavo East with wildlife viewing along the exit route where practical. Continue by road toward Amboseli through the changing landscapes of southern Kenya.

Arrive in the Amboseli area around midday, check in and enjoy lunch. After a short rest, enter Amboseli National Park for the afternoon game drive. The park's open plains and wetlands support large elephant herds, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and numerous antelope species.

On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro provides one of East Africa's most iconic safari backdrops. Continue wildlife viewing until late afternoon, then return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Begin before breakfast with an early morning game drive, when wildlife is active and the air is often clearest. This is an excellent time for elephant photography and, when weather permits, views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the plains.

Return to your accommodation for breakfast, check out and begin the road journey back toward the Kenya coast. Stop for lunch en route at a suitable restaurant or safari stop, then continue toward your final coastal destination.

Arrival time depends on your hotel location, road and traffic conditions, and the pace of the journey. You will be dropped at your hotel or agreed point in Mombasa, Diani Beach, Malindi or Watamu.
